A practical index of test evidence and specification checks for outdoor lighting projects. This page explains what to request and how to review it; it does not certify a product or replace the issuing authority’s standards. Applicable editions, test scope, and acceptance criteria must be confirmed for the project.
Complete-luminaire photometry
Request a report matching the offered model, optic, CCT, stabilized input power, lumen output, and test conditions. LED-package efficacy and a complete-luminaire rating are different measurement boundaries.
Before accepting a photometric file, use the IES/LDT file verification guide for EPC teams to check model identity and the supporting report.

Lighting design and acceptance
Use the specified lighting class and visual task, site geometry, model-matched IES/ULD data, and an approved maintenance factor. Pole spacing and illuminance tables are planning examples until verified in the project model.

Battery, electrical protection and autonomy
Review cell and pack identity, usable capacity, depth of discharge, temperature limits, protective devices, and the nightly load profile. Cycle-count claims require an identified test basis; nominal voltage alone does not establish safety compliance.

Ingress, corrosion and mechanical suitability
IP and IK evidence cover specified tests. They do not establish corrosion life or complete suitability for every coast or desert. Match materials, coating systems, mechanical calculations, and maintenance obligations to exposure.

Procurement and handover
Identify required reports, drawings, deviations, FAT/SAT records, commissioning measurements, spare parts, and O&M responsibilities in a document register. Confirm evidence availability for the offered configuration before award.
